• BA in History at San Jose State University
• 2 years at Berklee School of Music, Boston MA
• 3 year professional actors training at The Theatre Academy-LACC
• MA in Theatre at Wayne State University
•  

Mr. Coven has been the Director of Theatre since 1997.  He also has been the Director of the Summer Theatre Program since 1998.  He directs all the student productions, teaches the acting classes and film classes and chooses the shows for and runs the Academy's Visiting Artist program and Concert Series.
