September 23rd & 24th,
2006
The WWII re-enactment group of
the China Marines from
Indianapolis were out this past weekend to help the Cadets hone
their knowledge and personas of WWII soldiers. The rain and cold
did not deter their camp event. The schedule for new recruits
included lectures on Rations, Sanitation and Hygiene, How to
build your persona for Living History events, the M1919 Air
Cooled .30 cal, Field-Stripping the M1, a session of Firing
Blanks, and viewing of old war movies capped their Sat night
activities. The old salts from the Marine company are anxious to
return in May for our timeline event on campus.
