VOICE

Class Expectations: A 3 hour per week practice time requirement is attached to all private lessons.  Students may use free periods and/or may receive passes from the teacher to practice in the Music and Art Building during required evening study period.   

Grades/evaluations determined by singing rubrics.

Voice students may also be asked to translate non-English pieces.

Class Materials:        

Standard Vocal Repertoire selections based upon individual voices may be selected from, but not limited to the following:

Vaccai Practical Method of Italian Singing

24 Italian Songs and Arias

First Book of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone/Bass Solos

CHOIR

Class Expectations:  Full participation and attention during all rehearsals and performances.  Students may study and/or read when director is working with voice section other than theirs.  

Students are required to participate in all rehearsals, performances, and concerts.

Grades/evaluations determined by participation and performance rubrics and singing and written theory tests.

Class Materials:  Secular and Sacred Choral music that is age and skill appropriate as selected by director.
